Who I am: My name is Ivan Shmorgunenko. I am a student at Oxford Brookes University
Why am I creating your website: I am creating this website to tell about one of the Ukrainian organizations that deals with the situation in Ukraine and acts in the international arena.
What is my interest in this organisation: Since I come from Ukraine, the whole situation and its dissemination are important to me, so that more people know about it and can help people.
Why do I think the issue is important: This situation affected the whole world, the economies of countries, their geopolitical views and changed the whole world, so I think this situation is very important because it affected the whole world.
About ССL
CGS is a Ukrainian human rights organization that won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022. Since the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and especially since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, CGS has been documenting war crimes, advocating for international accountability and reform of global institutions such as the UN and OSCE. The organization's director, Alexandra Matviychuk, emphasizes that the war in Ukraine is a clash between authoritarianism and democracy, requiring global mobilization in defense of freedom.
